Moves to Set Up Washington Executive Launched at Geneva

Moves to establish branches of the World Zionist Executive and Jewish Agency Executive in the United States were under way today. The American delegation backed by representative from other countries contended that establishment of a division of the Zionist Executive in Washington would be an advantage in combating Britain’s Palestine policy and in the event war involving Britain broke out.

Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver in a speech to the Congress Saturday night urged that a branch of the Agency Executive be set up in the United States on the ground that such a division would prevent the complete disruption of Palestine upbuilding work in the event of a European war Branches of the two Executives now exist in London and Jerusalem.
