Zionist leaders today discussed the possibility of Dr. Chaim Weizmann visiting the United States soon after the current Zionist Congress with important missions including the raising of $2,500 000 toward the $5,000 000 loan proclaimed by the Keren Hayesod (Palestine Foundation Fund).

Simultaneously members of the Zionist Executive discussed a project to be submitted to the Congress for approval calling for increasing the Jewish Agency’s budget from last year’s figure of $2500,000 to $5,000,000 in the coming year.

In this connection the Executive intends to submit to the Congress two budgets namely a minimum budget of £700,000 and a connection with the $5000,000 loan which the Keren Hayesod intends to raise repayable within 20 years and bearing a four per cent dividend With half of the loan expected to be raised in the United States the Keren Hayesod will seek to raise the balance in Europe and South Africa.
