The office maintained here by the Intergovernmental Refugee Committee has been closed, it was announced today, and the bureau has been merged with the office of League Refugee Commissioner Sir Herbert Emerson, who is also director of the bureau. It is understood, however, that the committee remains in existence. Assistant Director Joseph Harsch has resigned.
