Untermyer Heads Campaign for Polish Jews’ Relief

Samuel Untermyer has accepted the chairmanship of a national emergency campaign committee for relief in Poland, created by the Federation of the Polish Jews in America, it was announced today by Z. Tygel, executive director, following an emergency session of the advisory board of the Federation.

The purpose of the emergency campaign will be to organize immediate relief action and to establish an information service which will seek to keep Jews in America advised regarding the status of their relatives in Poland with whom they may be unable to communicate owing to the war situation. In this respect the officers of the Federation has been in constant contact with the responsible Polish authorities in this country.
