Financial assistance will be extended to refugees from Germany among the Athenia survivors, it was announced today by the Scottish National Council for Refugees. The refugees will be cared for by the Glasgow branch of the German-Jewish Aid Committee until they can continue their journey to Canada and the United States, which had been interrupted by a torpedo from a German submarine.
