Testimony began today in the trial of Fritz Kuhn before General Sessions Judge James G. Wallace on charges of embezzling funds from the German-American Bund, of which he is the leader. Today’s principal witness, James Wheeler-Hill, secretary of the Bund, admitted Kuhn’s complete personal control over the Bund’s finances. The jury has no Jews in it, although 12 of the 40 tales men questioned were Jews.
