Permission by the British Government for the recruitment of a pioneer corps of refugees is meeting with an extraordinary response.

New groups are leaving daily for training camps and many are already serving overseas. The recruits include lawyers, bankers, electricians, actors, cinema employes, champion auto drivers and ace fliers. Members of the corps do not participate in actual fighting but are doing work behind the lines, where they are generally allocated to special jobs.
