A German official at Wupperthal, Germany, has been sentenced to a four-year prison term for issuing passports without the “J” stamp to a Jewish couple who emigrated to Italy, it was reported today by the Nazi newspaper Westfaelische Landeszeitung Rote Erde. The official, who was alleged to have accepted a 40-mark bribe, was also deprived of his civic rights for five years.
