For the first time since 1935, several hundred Orthodox Jews yesterday went to Hebron, situated in the Arab section of Palestine, to offer prayers at the Cave of Machpela, legendary burial place of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of Israel. The pilgrims were led by Chief Rabbis Isaac Herzog and Ben-Zion Uziel and the Rabbinical Court.
