Commenting on the reconstruction of the French Cabinet the Daily Telegraph refers to Interior Minister Georges Mandel as “one of the most vigorous administrative forces in French politics today.”

“At the ministry (colonial) which he now leaves,” the Telegraph continues, “Mandel brought a vast increase in the economic productivity of the colonies. At 54 this ex-secretary of Clemenceau has already gone far and may well go farther.”
