It was confirmed today that hundreds of aliens whose residence permits are not in order have been given the alternative of leaving the country within a fortnight or being interned. While many German Jews are affected, the measure also applies to others, for instance, Christian Austrians. Officials explained that the present situation did not permit heterogenous elements to remain at large.
