A half million Palestine Jews are anxious to fight on Britain’s side and urge establishment of a Jewish military force, a delegation of Jewish leaders today told High Commissioner Sir Harold A. MacMichael in an interview.

The Jewish community’s loyalty and preparedness to volunteer for any emergency required for defense of Palestine and the Empire was voiced by the delegation, which included the executive committee of the Jewish National Council, Moshe Shertok, head of the Jewish Agency’s political department, and Dr. Altman, leader of the Zionist-Revisionists.

MacMichael expressed thanks and promised to transmit to London immediately the Jews’ requests.
