Headquarters of the World Jewish Congress have been established in London, it was announced today by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, chairman of the executive committee. During the absence in the United States of Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chairman of the administrative committee, direction of European work will be in the hands of the Rev. Maurice L. Perlzweig, who has served until now as chairman of the British section of the Congress.

Establishment of London as the chief European center of World Jewish Congress activities was decided upon following a meeting of the Governing Council of the American Jewish Congress last night. At this meeting Dr. Goldmann presented an extended report on the Jewish position in Europe, indicating the direction in which World Jewish Congress activities may turn in the coming weeks.
