The United States consulate at Antwerp has resumed its functions and is proceeding with the consideration of visa applications, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society disclosed today on the basis of information received from Washing ton.

The HIAS also was informed that the United States Consulate at Amsterdam had been authorized to take similar action and that the consulate at Rotterdam was beginning to function. Since the records have practically all been destroyed at Rotterdam it is not yet certain what will be the State Department’s policy in that city.
