Charges Nazis Cooperate with Reds in Maritime Union

Pro-Nazi seamen, many of them strong-arm members of the German-American Bund, are cooperating with the Communist leaders of Joseph Curran’s National Maritime Union (CIO), the New Leader, Social-Democratic organ, charged today. The writer, Charles Yale Harrison, said that one of the proofs of this collusion was the fact that Communist and pro-Nazi crew members of the American Republics steamer Brazil ganged up on British sailors in a waterfront brawl at Buenos Aires on June 17.
