In line with the new orientation given youth education in France, Jewish organizations have been asked to collaborate with official bodies in this sphere of activity.

The Jewish scout organization, Eclaireurs Israelites, has been entrusted by the Ministry for Youth and Family with the entire work of physical education of Jewish children. This education will follow the lines generally approved by the Ministry, namely outdoor life, agricultural and handicraft training.

Representatives of Jewish organizations have been invited to sit on the Council of Youth Organizations along with representatives of Catholic and Protestant bodies.
