Carl Byoir, New York publicist, was exonerated of charges of un-American activities by the Dies Committee in a report issued today. Charges that Byoir, a lieutenant-colonel in the Army Reserve Corps, had been engaged in un-American activities had been brought by Rep. Wright Patman of Texas.

“The full committee adopts the report of its subcommittee fully exonerating Mr. Byoir of any charges reflecting on his Americanism or loyalty to the Government of the United States,” the report said.
