Rabbi Levinthal Stricken in Philadelphia

Rabbi Bernard L. Levinthal, dean of Orthodox rabbis in America and chief Orthodox rabbi of Philadelphia, was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital last night suffering from bronchial pneumonia. He is 75 years old. His sons are Rabbi Israel Levinthal of Brooklyn and Judge Louis E. Levinthal of Philadelphia’s Court of Common Pleas.
