Capt. John T. Prout, one of the defendants in the recent Christian Front trial in Brooklyn, has been transferred from the 165th Infantry, and will face trial by a general court martial on undisclosed charges. In the Brooklyn trial, Prout was acquitted of the charge that he plotted to overthrow the Government with other defendants but the jury failed to agree as to his guilt on a charge of complicity in a theft of munitions from a New York National Guard armory.
