“Count Victor Cherep-Spiridovich,” who has been working as research editor at the WPA Aeronautics Index project, is in reality Victor H. Broenstrupp, a patent lawyer from Ohio and works as an “Aryan” propagandist during the nighttime, Johnston D. Kerkhoff declared in an article in the New York Post today.

The “Count” is busy every night in his tenement apartment turning out mimeographed pamphlets lambasting President Roosevelt, the “Mongol-Jewish money lenders” and the taxation which nets him $87.80 from the WPA every month, the writer says. The “Count” at one time served the real Count, Gen. von Spiridovich when he lived at State Island and assumed his name when he died, the article says. The “Count” got himself into the Congressional Record this month when Rep. Samuel Dickstein called him the “notorious Count Spiridovich who is linked to the Bund and other Nazi groups.”
