Menachem M. Ussishkin, president of the Jewish National Fund, declared at a press conference today that the J.N.F. must multiply its efforts in order to create “a real basis on which post-war Jewry will be able to depend.” Experience has shown that private land acquisition is not sufficient and national landbuying is necessary, he said.
The Jews still possess the means and the present situation in Palestine still provides possibilities for considerable land acquisition, he said.
