The Bratislava newspaper Grensbote reported today that Jews will soon be forbidden by a decree of the Central Economic Office of Slovakia to live on streets named in honor of either Adolf Hitler or the late Father Andreas Hlinka.
Commenting on the forthcoming measure, the Hlinka organ Gerdista observed that it signified that the “Jewish problem is being tackled according to plan.”
“The hopes of those who want to help the Jews and save for them what is still left to be saved are useless,” Gardista warned. “Jewish money invested in the form of relief has not helped the Jews in the past and will not help in the future.” Gardista added: “The Jews will gradually be made to withdraw into that part of town whence they emerged into the center–that is, the ghetto.”
