The steamer Dorian II, flying the Panama flag and transporting 510 Rumanian Jewish emigrants bound for Palestine, arrived at Varna, Bulgaria, today.

The ship’s captain, Juan Pepino was arrested before the ship departed from Constanza, Rumania, on Friday on charges he had smuggled Jews aboard for “high sums,” it was reported. Official German news agency messages declared the ship was “unseaworthy and possesses accommodations for only 150 persons.”
