Thousands of Jews expelled from the provinces continue to pour into the Warsaw ghetto, the Gazeta Zydowska, Jewish organ in Nazi-occupied Poland, reports.
The latest refugees come from Piaseczna, Zyradow, Jeziorna, Wlochy, Karczew, Rudki, Blonie and Maszczonow. Thousands have been lodged by the Jewish community in public buildings in the ghetto, while other thousands remain in the Jewish community building at 21 Stawski Street.
The community is able to feed, without pay, only 1,500 daily. The others are fed by individuals. The Warsaw Jewish Community has obtained a loan from the bank of the Government-General, secured by Jewish real estate.
