The Jewish community of this city has donated 25,000 drachmas for erection of a memorial to the late Greek Premier, John Metaxas, it was announced today.
The announcement coincided with religious memorial services for the late Premier throughout the country. A special service was performed at the main synagogue here today by Chief Rabbi Barzilas.
