Bulgarian Jews Barred from Changing Names

The Bulgarian authorities have issued a decree forbidding Jews to “Bulgarize” their names, it was reported here today. The Bulgarian National Bank has ordered Jews to write their names in bank books as they appeared in their birth certificates, according to a Bulgarian-language broadcast from Zeesen.
