At least four synagogues and a Jewish boys’ club were gutted by fire during Saturday’s air raid on London, it was disclosed today.
The premises of a Jewish newspaper were destroyed. Buildings around another synagogue were ablaze for 24 hours. Jewish casualties in the raid were heavy.
