The first Jewish day nursery in Leeds will be opened shortly and will be named after President Roosevelt, it was learned today. A committee of the ORT-OSE headed by Dr. Schwartzman has gone to Leeds to make the final arrangements. The Ministry of Health will contribute one-third of the cost of the ORT-OSE President Roosevelt Leeds Day Nursery.

Meanwhile, a deputation of the Federation of Synagogues turned over to the mayor of Stepney a L5,000 check as an interest-free advance to the Government in connection with War Weapons Week.
