An order prohibiting Jews in Paris and other parts of Nazi-occupied France from moving from their present dwellings or absenting themselves from their homes for more than 24 hours has been issued by the German military authorities in France, it was reported here today.
Issuance of this order indicates that the Nazi authorities intend to continue their raids on Jews and wish to be certain that their victims will be at home whenever the Nazi vans come to collect them for internment in concentration camps.
Other orders issued by the Nazi authorities forbid Jews in occupied France to sell their jewelry or other valuables. Traveling of Jews on trains will be checked throughout the occupied territory and Jews will be barred from a number of summer resorts in occupied France.
