Equipment Shortage Hinders Palestine Arming

Jewish volunteers in Palestine are being armed as fast as equipment can be found for them, according to official American dispatches from Jerusalem today. Whether any United States lease-lend material is being sent through the Red Sea route for use in the Middle Eastern campaign remained a “military secret” here.

A British Embassy spokesman said lack of equipment was hindering efforts of British military authorities to enlist Jewish volunteers.
