Nazis Order Census of Warsaw Jewish Building Workers

Nazi authorities in Poland ordered the Jewish Council of the Warsaw ghetto to conduct a census of all Jewish artisans and of workers employed in the building industry, it is reported in the Gazetta Zydowska which reached Switzerland today.

The same issue reports that the famous Tlomackie Synagogue in Warsaw was closed down by the community due to the lack of funds.

The latest reports which reached Geneva today from Nazi occupied Poland state that the Jewish ghettos in Warsaw and Lublin did not suffer from the Soviet air raids.

The death of Doctor Jacob Szwajcer, ninety year old director of the largest Jewish hospital in Warsaw, is reported in the Gazetta Zydowska.
