Several thousand Jewish refugees from Poland and Germany stranded in Japan are in danger of being interned as a result of a new policy decided upon by the Japanese Government, the press reports today.
The report states that the authorities intend to isolate in special camps all refugee holders of Polish, Belgian and Czechoslovak passports, as well as all Jewish refugees from the Reich despite the fact that they possess German passports. There are in Japan today about 2,000 Jewish refugees from Poland, in addition to German-Jewish refugees.
