The advisability of convoking the Zionist Actions Committee for a session on American soil, since the war situation has made it impossible to hold a Zionist Congress this year, was discussed at a meeting of the Zionist Emergency Committee in New York yesterday, attended by representatives of all Zionist groups.

The meeting came to the conclusion that a session of the Zionist Actions Committee would serve practical purposes as it constitutes the only body authorized to adopt decisions which would be legally binding for the World Zionist Executive as well as for the entire Zionist movement.

It was pointed out at the meeting that European leading Zionists who are now in the United States could also participate in the session of the Actions Committee. It was also reported that David Ben-Gurion, chairman of the Executive of the Jewish Agency, is expected to come to the United States in September after completing important discussions in London where he was reported to have arrived from Palestine.
