The grim promise that “for the first time in their lives the Jews will learn the real meaning of the word ‘labor'” is made by a special correspondent of the “Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung” in an article describing conditions in the city of Lwow, now in German possession.

The Jews, who comprise a great portion of the population of the city, he reports, now have to wear white armbands bearing the Star of David.
