Acting in accordance with the last wishes of the late M. M. Ussishkin, his second will was opened today, seven days after his death.
The ceremony of opening the will take place in Ussishkin’s home, at nine o’clock in the morning, in the presence of the immediate members of his family and representatives of the Directorate of the Jewish National Fund and of the Executive of the Jewish Agency. The contents of the will have not yet been announced and it is not known whether it will be made public.
Meanwhile speculation was rife here as to who would succeed Ussishkin as head of the Jewish National Fund. A new JNF president will be chosen by the forthcoming World Zionist Congress which would have taken place this autumn were it not for the war situation. Between now and the eventual appointment of a new president by the Congress, the affairs of the Jewish National Fund will apparently be conducted by a directorate.
