Many Dutch Jews have been seized in Amsterdam by the Nazi authorities and transported to Germany to work in factories producing war materials for the German army, according to information reaching Dutch circles here today.
The Jews were arrested without any reason being given them and were confined in an Amsterdam school prior to their being sent to Germany. The Dutch report states that they are now working in factories in Aix La Chapelle, Cologne and Munich.
Another report received by Dutch circles here today discloses that in the Netherlands village of Blaricum Jewish children were barred from attending the annual high school festival by order of the occupation officials. As a result not a single child – Dutch or Jewish – showed up at the festivities.
