Native City Pays Tribute to Brandeis; Governor, Mayor Deliver Eulogies

Tribute to a native son was paid by all Louisville at a memorial meeting for the late Justice Louis D. Brandeis. Speakers at the service held in Temple B’right Sholom, were Rabbi James G. Heller, Cincinnati; Rabbi Joseph Rauch, president of the board of trustees of the University of Louisville; Dr. Raymond A. Kent, president of the University of Louisville, who knew the great jurist as a result of his benefactions to the university; Gov. Keen Johnson; Mayor Joseph D. Scholtz; Charles W. Morris, representing the Louisville Conference of Jewish Organization; Rabbi Solomon N. Bazell of Temple B’rith Sholom and Rabbi J.J. Gittleman of Temple Adath Jeshurun.
