A campaign to prepare public opinion in Norway for the introduction of the anti-Jewish laws there along the same lines as those in Germany, was started today by the Quisling administration. The laws, which are reported to have been prepared in cooperation with the German occupational authorities, will be proclaimed during Christmas week.
The wearing of a yellow badge by each of the 1,300 Jews of Norway is one of the features of the projected anti-Jewish law. Other provisions of the law deprive Jews of the right to practice any profession and to enter certain public places, including restaurants. As Jews will come under the laws, not only those belonging to the Jewish community, but those whose names indicate that they are of Jewish descent.
