All “Aryanization” of Jewish property in Czechoslovakia as well as transfers of goods or other property under duress, was declared illegal in a broadcast today by the Czechoslovak government-in-exile to the Czechoslovakian people, sent out over the British Broadcasting Company’s network.
Any such transfer even if ostensibly made voluntarily will be considered invalid, and the government reserves the right to specify the manner under which such transfers can be made valid and legal claims settled, after the war. Criminal proceedings are threatened against anyone acting against anyone acting against the spirit of this proclamation. It was also announced that this procedure will be applied to all transactions since Sept. 27, 1938 as the present Czech government does not recognize the Munich agreement which was signed on that day.
