An anti-shechita campaign was opened here today by the Danish Nazis as the first stage in a wide scale propaganda drive aimed at securing the introduction of Nazi anti-Jewish legislation with all its ramifications in Denmark. The drive was first announced by the Clausenists, the Danish Nazis, shortly after Denmark’s adherence to the anti-Comintern pact at the Berlin meeting of the Axis states, convened by Hitler.
During a debate in the lower house of the Danish parliament on a law dealing with prevention of cruelty to animals, which was introduced by one of the Clausenists, Aage Hendriksen, a Clausenist deputy, declared the Nazis “have watched with indignation how a small religious community in Copenhagen is permitted to continue their present method of slaughtering,” it is reported today in the Federlandet, the Danish Nazi paper.
The Clausenists, who are attempting to expand their influence in the country, have announced the establishment of a storm troop and party leaders school at Aalberg, which will be opened next week.
