VLADIVOSTOK (Jan. 2)
All Jews in Japan were removed this week into the interior without a single Jewish family permitted to remain in Yokohama, Kobe, Tokyo and other Japanese cities, according to information reaching here today from Japan.
The same information reveals that Nazi anti-Jewish laws existing in Germany were introduced this week in the Japanese puppet-state of Manchukuo. The synagogue in Herbin, capital of Manchukuo, was closed down. Harbin has a considerable Jewish population consisting mostly of Russian Jews.
Jewish refugees from Germany and the Czech Protectorate were rounded up by the Japanese occupation authorities in Thailand. Families were separated when the men were isolated in prisons while the women and children were sent to a special concentration camp.
