More Than 1,000 German-jewish Refugees Fall into Japanese Hands in Manila

More than 1,000 German-Jewish refugees fell into the hands of the Japanese in Manila, it was estimated here today by American circles.

Services for Jewish soldiers and sailors killed in the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor were held here under the joint auspices of the Jewish Welfare Board, the Honolulu Lodge of B’nai B’rith and the local Jewish Community Center. The services were held at Honolulu’s Synagogue which was built several years ago on the initiative of B’nai B’rith.
