The department of Hygiene and Bacteriology of the Hebrew University has informed the Palestine government that it can supply an almost unlimited supply of anti-typhus vaccine should the need arise, it was announced today by the Jewish Agency.

Scientists in the bacteriological department of the University have devised a new technique for preparing anti-typhus vaccine by growing the typhus virus in tissue cultures, the announcement said. The Hebrew University process has been pursued by Dr. H. R. Cox, United States Public Health Service bacteriologist, who developed the technique of growing the typhus virus in a chick embryo, it was reported.
