King Haakon’s private rooms in the Royal Palace in Oslo have been converted into the headquarters of the Department for Jewish Affairs formed this week in Norway under the supervision of M. Fugelsand, liaison officer between the German occupation authorities and the Quisling party, it is reported here today in the Dagens Nyheter, a Swedish newspaper.
The anti-Jewish department installed itself in the palace of the King on January 24, the report says. The department is now busy preparing racial legislation for Norway, modeled along the lines of the anti-Jewish laws and regulations introduced by the Nazis in Poland and other occupied countries.
