210 Refugees Evacuated from Europe by J.D.C. Land in New York

Another dramatic rescue through the efforts of the Joint Distribution Committee of refugees trapped in Europe and Africa was consummated yesterday with the arrival of the Portuguese vessel, SS Guine, which brought 408 persons to the Western Hemisphere. The ship disembarked 210 persons in New York 198 in Cuba.
