The new responsibilities which war-time emergencies have imposed upon institutions affiliated with the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies here were discussed today at a conference of presidents of 500 leading Jewish fraternal and benevolent organizations, representing a membership of 125,000, held at the Park Central Hotel. Dr. Stephen S. Wise, George Z. Medalie and Hugh Grant Straus were the principal speakers.
