Shaken in their belief that Germany could win the war and impressed with the British mass-bombing of Cologne and other German cities, many persons in Germany and in Nazi-occupied countries who have moved into building confiscated from Jews are now seeking legal ways to move from them under all kinds of pretexts, apparently fearing post-war consequences, it was reported here today.

The report says that not only are many Germans afraid that they will be compelled to return Jewish property after the war, but they also fear being identified as people who took advantage of the Nazi anti-Jewish measures in order to acquire confiscated Jewish belongings.
