British Jewry this year doubled their contributions to the Palestine Foundation Fund, despite war-time conditions, it was disclosed today by Mrs. Archibald Silverman, of Providence, Rhode Island, prominent Zionist worker, who returned this week from an eight-week tour of the United Kingdom and Eire. About a half-million dollars was raised, she said.
While in London, Mrs. Silverman saw Lord Cranborne, the Colonial Minister; United States Ambassadors Winant and Drexel-Biddle and Neville Butler of the Foreign Office.
