All Jews in Nazi-occupied Holland were urged this week by the Jewish Council in Amsterdam to be ready for deportation to Germany and Eastern Europe “at any moment,” according to information received here today.

The Dutch Jews were advised by their leaders to report to the offices of the Jewish Council to secure information “in connection with the measures which it is advisable to take prior to leaving the country.”

Nazi occupational authorities in Belgium issued a decree this week “readjusting” the percentage of Jewish workers in the Belgian diamond industry. Many Jews will be retained because of the fact that the diamond industry is now indispensable to Germany’s war effort.
