Dr. Will W. Alexander of Atlanta and Washington, former head of the Farm Security Administration, and Dr. Charles S. Johnson, Negro director of the Department of Social Science at Fisk University, Nashville, have been appointed co-directors of the race relations program of the Julius Rosenwald Fund. Their selection is in line with plans for an intensified emphasis on race relations, “looking toward much fuller democracy in America and throughout the world.”
